Guy Laroche Perfume and Cologne - A Gracious Design

Guy Laroche was a French fashion designer is a French designer who born in 1921 in La Rochelle, France, who founded an eponymous company. His career actually began in millinery, or in the design and creation of women's hats and the accompanying trimming. By 1956 Guy Laroche had set up his first boutique in Paris offering high-end fashion. In 1961 he managed to open a larger second boutique, also in Paris, and took the opportunity to introduce a new ready to wear line of clothing.

Laroche introduced his first fragrance named Fidji in 1966, it was designed for women. Over the years, Laroche also created other Guy Laroche perfume and cologne, such as Jai Ose in 1977, Drakkar Noir (an aftershave for men) in 1982, Clandestine in 1986 and Horizon men's cologne in 1993. Eventually, though, perfumery portion of the company wholly controlled by L’Oreal.
